Walk in Interview for Social Organizers in South Waziristan Agency

NRDF requires Monitoring Officer and Social Mobilizers for Primary Education Project in South Waziristan Agency. Candidates must be the residents of South Waziristan Agency. M.A in Social Sciences or equivalent with 3 to 4 years field experience are encouraged to apply. Please see the details below:

Terms of Reference for Social Mobilizer

(Welcome to School initiative Project)

The Incumbent shall be based in any of the six tehsils (Wana, Shakai, Thuikhula, Birmal, Sarwakai, & Sararogha) of South Waziristan Agency. He will report to Agency  Coordinators, based at Wana & Chaghmalai. His responsibilities includes, but not limited to the following.

FIELD ACTIVITIES PLANNING, EXECUTION, & REPORTING:

  • Designing of Monthly / weekly work plan
  • Planning of field activities under the guidance of Agency Coordinator and in close coordination of local staff of Education department, School Head Teachers, TIJ
  • Members, Ulamas, community elders and other stack holders
  • Documentation of all field activities on priority basis.
  • Monitoring visits to selected schools and identification of Non Local Female
  • Teachers for Mobility Support.
  • Planning & Organizing Co-Curricular activities in the targeted schools with the consultation of AEO, Local Administration, and FATA Sports Manager.
  • Selection of schools for Project Intervention with consultation of AEO, communitycelders, core group of ulama, and Local Elders.
  • Distribution of supplies in selected schools with the coordination of AEO, Local Administration and core group of ulama.
  • Field visits village/school level to monitor new enrollment and documentation of new enrollment accordingly. Updating the database on regular basis.
  • Selection & nomination of members of Taleemi Islahi Jirgas TIJs and conducting regular meetings and trainings and record minutes with action points and assigning responsibilities to TIJ members.
  • Organizing Media Briefings and appraising the masses through social mobilization with the help of core group of ulama and TIJs.
  • Organizing small group meetings on community level, documenting minutes of meetings and follow up the action points with stringent deadlines.
  • Documentation of weekly/monthly activity reports and sharing accordingly.
  • Documentation of success stories.

CO-ORDINATION:

  • Hold regular meetings with the Agency Core Group and mapped Ulama pertaining to Project Activities and gaps in achieving targets
  • Maintaining a close liaison with the local Administration, Education Department and other concerned line departments at Agency level and appraising them regarding the project activities and resolution of any issue come across in the fulfillment of field activities.
  • Maintaining a close liaison with both key female and male religious institutions (Madaris) for awareness raising in the community and monitor their activities.
  • Maintaining a close liaison with local elders, community leaders and Maliks etc and mapping them accordingly for the involvement in enrolment campaign.
  • Any other task related to the project in the concerned Agency
